Terms of Service
Last updated: March 20, 2026
1. Service Description
19aFile ("the Service," "we," "us") provides an AI-powered document auditing platform designed to assist transportation carriers in reviewing compliance documents submitted under New York State Article 19-A of the Vehicle and Traffic Law. Users may upload PDF documents and receive automated analysis reports indicating potential compliance issues. The Service is operated by 19aFile and accessible at 19afile.com.
2. Account Terms
Access to certain features of the Service requires registration using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service.
The Service operates on a credits system. Credits are purchased in advance and applied against individual document audits. One credit is consumed per audit unlocked. Credits do not expire but are non-transferable between accounts.
3. Payment Terms
All purchases are one-time transactions processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By completing a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service in addition to these terms.
All sales are final. Credits are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by applicable law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at support@19afile.com within 30 days of the transaction.
4. AI Disclaimer & No Liability for Errors
The audit reports generated by the Service are produced by artificial intelligence and are provided for informational purposes only. They do not constitute legal advice, regulatory guidance, or a guarantee of compliance with Article 19-A or any other law or regulation.
AI systems can make errors. You are solely responsible for independently verifying all findings before relying on them for any compliance, legal, or operational purpose. Always consult a qualified legal or compliance professional for authoritative guidance.
19aFile is NOT responsible for any errors, omissions, inaccuracies, or mistakes contained in AI-generated audit reports. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
You assume all risk associated with your reliance on the Service's output. 19aFile expressly disclaims any and all liability arising from actions taken or not taken based on the Service's output, including but not limited to compliance penalties, fines, legal consequences, or any other damages.
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to upload only documents that you are authorized to submit and that are relevant to Article 19-A compliance review. You represent that the information contained in uploaded documents is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
You agree not to use the Service to upload unlawful content, attempt to circumvent security measures, reverse engineer or scrape the platform, or use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Data Handling
Documents uploaded to the Service are transmitted to third-party AI providers for analysis. By using the Service, you consent to this processing. Uploaded files are stored on secure cloud infrastructure hosted by Vercel.
Audit records associated with paid (unlocked) results are retained indefinitely so that you may access them in your account. Unpaid audit records and their associated files are automatically deleted after 7 days. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, software, and trademarks associated with 19aFile are the property of 19aFile and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written consent.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 19aFile and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or compliance penalties, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
